      Anti-matter is basically the opposite of matter. Although it’s all around us, it’s generally not as well known or stable. So, if you have an electron then the anti-matter equivalent is a positron (like an electron in all ways except positivly charged). Most matter that we are concerned with in the universe is made up of proton, neutrons and electrons and so we don’t really worry too much about anti-matter, but if a positron and electron meet, then you they enhilate each other releasing energy.
