The first step of me being a scientist was when I was very young…I was quite inquisitive and wanted to know how things worked and how you could fix things…

This is the most important thing about being a scientist…being interested in learning about how the world works.

Curiosity! You need to be curios and be willing to understand how things around you are working.

I think getting interested in how the world works and why things are the way they are. Or just start enjoying the a scientific subject at school.

You’ve just got to want to learn. You don’t even need to be good at science to start being a scientist, you just need to appricate that with a bit of work you can begin to learn and develop. It’s really all about just have the confidence to start asking why things are the way they are or how things work. Then my friend, you’re on the right track.

As the others have said I think it just comes from asking “why?”. I was / am always interested in finding out how things work. I always think it’s great to be curious and to not stop asking why something is like it is, or appears to be!
