• Question: do you only do proteins or other stuff

      At the moment yes! So I simulate proteins that are present in a lipid bilayer (that’s the part of the cell that makes up the cell wall). What’s really interesting though is that all of the maths and physics in the simulations I use can be applied to all sorts of different things, you usually have to take into account the length scale you’re at as well. The same underlying physics can be used to simulate things in biology as well as very large things like galaxy formation (to name just one example)!
